A lovely resort right in the middle of Ubud making it easy to go out for meals, entertainment, shopping... The rooms were well fitted out and had high quality toiletries. We stayed in a room on the third floor which had a great view overlooking the pool and gardens. Breakfast was a buffet style with optional orders (eggs etc). Being set back from the road there was no noise as I have experienced in other central Ubud hotels. Our booking included a Balinese massage in the spa which was a nice experience (though you can get the same massage for a fraction of the price out in town). The staff were always friendly and exceptionally helpful.

The stay in Alaya was way above my expectations. Everything over there was perfect. The staff is everywhere, and you don't have to search to be helped. I really liked the double services, morning and evening, which included making sure you have water in the room. I enjoyed being back in my room and having it settled for the night with the curtains closed. It was such a nice touch. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The shower was my favourite part, as were the pressure and intensity. So nice. It was the pleasure I sought when I returned to the hotel.

The room was also very spacious and included everything you need, from a very comfortable bed & plenty of wardrobe space to a walk in shower and great bath. Breakfast was very good with a huge choice all the staff were exceptional making you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in central Ubud with great access to everything, despite its central location the hotel remains a haven of peace and tranquility.
